Jet Logistics is searching for a looking for talented individuals to join our dynamic Flight Operations Department. If you are an experienced Flight Coordinator, or have a strong desire to help others using that talent, we look forward to speaking with you.
Position overview
Performs a variety of functions relating to scheduling air medical flights for Jet Logistics’ clients. Exercises independent judgment in the processing and resolution of scheduling matters; applies a working knowledge of applicable regulations. This is an office setting position and not able to telecommute. The successful candidates operate well under pressure, are organized, and are excited to help those in need of assistance. This position is the “quarterback” of the organization.
Essential Job Functions
• Books and confirms missions are compliant with 14CFR Part 135.267
• Coordinates mission details for all trips
• Performs Flight Following duties in accordance with the JLI General Operations Manual (GOM) and 14 CFR Part 135.79
• Obtains Customs authorizations, approvals, and/or notifications
• Files APIS notifications for International missions
• Notifies flight crew personnel of scheduled trips and their respective itineraries
• Coordinates all catering requirements as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
• Researches fuel purchasing options for all missions
• Coordinates with Operations for crew hotels and rental cars for overnight missions
• Performs Tier 2 Operational Control functions
• Follows up with customers after trips to ensure satisfaction and quality control
• Keeps track of credit card usage in the Flight Operations department and tracks down missing receipts
• Any other duties delegated to him/her by the direct supervisor and/or Director of Operations
Requirements
• Excellent PC skills and proficiency; knowledge of FOS, Word, Outlook and Excel
• Excellent customer service skills using appropriate tact and professionalism requiring good oral and written communication skills
• Flexibility in a rapidly changing organization
• Effective time management with high attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
• Attend and pass exam on Jet Logistics Communication Specialist Standard Operating Procedures Manual

Position Overview

Essential Job Functions

Assist in safe maintenance and line operations.

Ensuring the quality of aircraft, engine and avionics maintenance and repair.

Troubleshoot and repair Jet Logistics’ aircraft and any other transient company aircraft.

Perform maintenance and AOG service to any transient clients as assigned.

Following schedules for periodic inspections, general overhaul, repairs and modification.

Assist in maintaining records as required by FARs, manufacturers and company policy.

Following maintenance safety rules and procedures.

Following proper company policies, appropriate FARs, pertinent manuals, practices and publications.

Participating in programs for maintenance technician proficiency training, revisions and upgrades, in accordance with FAA and company requirements.

Helping provide efficient and timely maintenance and repair to ensure all company and customer aircraft are returned to service.

Rotate on-call duties on nights and weekends

Assisting in maintenance and upkeep of the aviation hangar and office facility.

Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Requirements

Excellent PC skills and proficiency; knowledge of Corridor, and ATP (Maintenance Manual).

Excellent customer service skills using tact and professionalism appropriate requiring good oral and written communication skills.

Flexibility in a rapidly changing organization.

Possess a current FAA issued Airframe and Powerplant Certificate for a minimum of two years.

Essential Job Functions
• Has joint responsibility with the captain for the safety and operational control of flights under his/her guidance.
• Authorizes, regulates, and controls commercial airline flights according to government and company regulations to expedite and ensure safety of flight.
• Analyzes and evaluates meteorological information to determine potential hazards to safety of flight and to select the most desirable and economic route of flight.
• Computes the amount of fuel required for the safe completion of flight according to type of aircraft, distance of flight, maintenance limitations, weather conditions, and minimum fuel requirements, prescribed by federal aviation regulations.
• Prepares flight plans containing information such as maximum allowable takeoff and landing weights, weather reports, field conditions, NOTAMS, and many other informational components required for the safe completion of flight.
• Prepares and signs the dispatch release which is the legal document providing authorization for a flight to depart.
• Delays or cancels flights if unsafe conditions threaten the safety of his/her aircraft or passengers.
• Monitors weather conditions, aircraft position reports, and aeronautical navigation charts to evaluate the progress of flight.
• Updates the pilot in command of significant changes to weather or flight plan and recommends flight plan alternates, such as changing course, altitude and, if required, enroute landings in the interest of safety and economy.
• Originates and disseminates flight information to others in his/her company regarding operational concerns.
• Completes extensive training to successfully pass a comprehensive oral and/or written exam, given by a company Check Airman to be qualified to exercise Operational Control.
• Participates in frequent and detailed recurrent training courses covering aircraft systems, company operations policy, meteorology and Federal Air Regulations as required by the company training program.
• Any other duties delegated to him/her by the Communications Center Manager, Chief Pilot, or the Director of Operations.

• Applicants must also have no less than 3000 hours total time, 1500 hours PIC, 1500 hours multi-engine PIC time, and 200 hours of PIC in type
• Applicants must also hold a First Class medical
